Serenity Hospice Foundation fills the void of unmet needs for patients and families.
Serenity Hospice Foundation, founded in 2005, is a non-profit foundation focused on raising awareness of hospice, promoting compassionate services in the community and ensuring access to quality services for families in the Serenity Hospice area, regardless of their ability to pay.
Statistics from the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in 2018 show that 1.49 million people received hospice care in the United States – Arizona was number 2 with 47.5 million people. This number will grow each year and the need for assistance with Hospice and Palliative Care will continually be needed.
Beyond providing access to essential hospice services for patients, the Serenity Hospice Foundation fills the void of unmet needs for patients and families, some of which include food, clothing and shelter. Funding from the Foundation also makes possible a variety of community outreach and educational programs to patients, families and the public.
“Please pass along my thanks to the staff at Serenity. Every single one of you is special and wonderful. I can’t say enough about how kind everyone has been to me this year. This has been a horrible year and I couldn’t have done it without you guys.”
